Father of the bride’s speech is a very important part of the wedding reception because this speech traditionally opens the exchange with wedding toasts. Father of the bride should include several logically organized points into his speech. Firstly, he welcomes the guests and thanks them for supporting his daughter and coming to the wedding ceremony. Secondly, he speaks about his daughter and his son-in-law and toasts the bride and groom. Although the “outline” of the speech seems rather faded and unoriginal, it is responsibility of the father of the bride to create the unique atmosphere of emotional warmth and solemnity.
